The PM is mostly heads down and the range of tasks involve monitoring instruments, review documents, communicate with ATC, perform actions relating to checklists (normal/abnormal) and on top of it keep a check on the physiological/psychological state of the PF/Captain. Isn’t this the job of a super hero?

At 1000ft where the crew has to take a decision, what if the default mode is to call for a go-around and if parameters meet the safe criteria, the crew continue to land? Will this be a safer option than the current method which is the reverse of this?
